What is the 1,000 pound club?
The 1,000 lbs club is when you lift 1,000 pounds between 3 different lifts. The three different lifts are bench Press, deadlift and squat. The total of all three lifts must add up to 1,000 lbs. The lifts must all be completed within a 24 hour period.
A squat is a strength exercise in which the trainee lowers their hips from a standing position and then stands back up. Squats are considered a vital exercise for increasing the strength and size of the lower body muscles as well as developing core strength
The bench press is an upper-body weight training exercise in which the trainee presses a weight upwards while lying on a weight training bench. It is also used extensively in weight training, bodybuilding, and other types of training to develop the chest muscles.
The deadlift is a weight training exercise in which a loaded barbell or bar is lifted off the ground to the level of the hips, then lowered to the ground.
